Once you are familiar with the eample data delivered with Alfabet FastLane, you can delete it from the database. You can delete objects individually or delete all objects at once in the database.

This functionality should be used with caution. This is a one-time operation and the data willl be irrevocably deleted. Objects that have been deleted from the database cannot be restored.

The dataset displays all object data in the database. You can do the following:

• Delete individual object data

  When you delete an object from the database, it will be irrevocably deleted. Objects that have been deleted from the database cannot be restored.

  Green traffic lights indicate that the data can be deleted. A red light in the Delete column is displayed for objects with the release status Approved or Under Review. Objects with these release statuses cannot be deleted.

  To change the release status for an object, set the Release Status filter to either Data Imported, Draft, or Trash. Select one or more objects in the table and click Apply Release Status.

• Delete all object data in the database

  When you clear the database, the example data as well as any data you have added will be irrevocably deleted regardless of the release status. Objects that have been deleted from the database cannot be restored.

  The following will not be deleted when the database is clear:

  • Evaluation types and role types will not be deleted. This includes all evaluation types and role types that you have created as well as the preconfigured evaluation types and role types available with the sample data. They are integral to the product and to the analyses available in Alfabet FastLane.
  • Users (class Person ) and user groups will not be deleted when the database is cleared.

  The functionality to clear the database is disabled per default. The Clear Complete Database button is only visible if it is enabled.

  1. Click Enable/Disable Data Wipe. In the view that opens, click Edit in the toolbar. In the dialog, set the Object State to Active. To hide the Clear Complete Database button, set the Object State field to Retired.
  2. Go back to the preceding view and click Clear Complete Database. An event to irrevocably delete all data regardless of the release status is triggered. The event is asynchronous and may take some time before the data is deleted. Check the events notification for information about the event execution.
