A connection frequency describes how often a specific information flow is used to transfer business data between the two associated applications or their respective components. Users can specify the connection frequency for an information flow when they capture data about the company's information flows.

Preconfigured connection frequencies include: Hourly, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly, Real Time, On Demand, Other 

You can keep the preconfigured values or delete them if they are not relevant for the connection frequency definition in your enterprise. You can also add new connection frequencies that users will be able to select for users to select when they capture information flows. The name of the connection frequency will be displayed in the Connection Frequency field in the data workbench for information flows.

1. In the navigation pane, expand Configuration > Reference Data.
2. Click the Information Connections button and then click Connection Frequency to open the view.
3. Create new connection frequencies or delete existing ones as needed.
