Update the data source

The data workbench shows all assets in the repository and the users and organizations that have a functional role defined for the asset.

Understand the details about a specific asset. Click  Navigate to navigate an asset's object profile to view basic data as well as various reports. You can view and update the responsibility information for the asset. Go to the Overview tab and click Responsibilities 

  • In the toolbar, click Person and select a role type. The following role types are available.

    • Application Manager: A person who is the subject matter expert for an application from a functional and technical point of view.
    • Architect: A person who is responsible for the governance of the asset.
    • Business Owner: A person or organization that owns the asset and is responsible for managing the functional requirements.
    • IT Owner: A person or IT organization that owns the asset and thus typically responsible for approval decisions.
    • Stakeholder: A person or organization that has an interest in the assets and therefore requires read-only access permissions.

    In the selector, find the user to assign the role to and click OK.

  • In the toolbar, click Organization and select a role type.

    • Business Owner: A person or organization that owns the asset and is responsible for managing the functional requirements.
    • IT Owner: A person or IT organization that owns the asset and thus typically responsible for approval decisions.
    • Operations: An IT organization responsible for the operations of the asset.
    • Stakeholder: A person or organization that has an interest in the assets and therefore requires read-only access permissions.

    In the selector, find the organization to assign the role to and click OK.
