CentraSite Business UI provides a wizard to create and publish a virtual copy (proxy) of the API. When you virtualize an API, and publish it to the API gateway, the gateway protects the native API. This means that instead of connecting to the native API directly, clients connect through the gateway. The gateway will then apply policies to messages sent to the native API (for example, to enable security, routing, monitoring, or traffic optimization).
