Downloading Corrections

When you have found a correction (for example, via the Fix Explorer or the search form), you can display detailed information on this correction. For example:

Each table which is shown for a correction contains a Download column and a Display column (you may have to scroll down in the correction description in order to see the tables). One or all of the followings icons may be shown in these columns:

Choose this icon to download the correction.

Note:
When an Order Download link is provided instead of an icon, the correction cannot be downloaded via Empower. In this case, you have to order the correction from Software AG. To do so, choose this link which invokes the order form.

Icon

Only available for certain correction types (for example, Zap). If available, choose this icon to display the correction in text format.

Note:
Mainframe corrections published after March 26, 2002 can consist of more than one individual data set. For example, a correction ID may consist of 3 subsets (a subset is a physical data set). All subsets are required for this specific correction and must be downloaded individually.

Link Description
List all issues resolved by this correction When you choose this link, a list of eService Knowledge Base articles is displayed. Each of these articles describes a specific product problem that can be solved by applying this correction. To display one of these articles, simply choose the document title.
Search for more recent correction When you choose this link, you can find out whether this correction has also been used elsewhere, for example, in a more recent or cumulative fix.
Resolution Handling Advice When you choose this link, the following part of this User's Guide is shown: Resolution Handling Advice.
Operating System vs. CD Label Information When you choose this link, the following part of this User's Guide is shown: Corrections on UNIX and PC: CD Label Information.
