Applying Rule Filters to Rules
When you define a KPI or event rule, you must identify the KPIs that gather the type of data to which to you want to apply the rule (for example, Broker queue length). By default, Optimize applies the rule to all instances of the KPI (for example, all Brokers in your entire environment). However, you might want to apply the rule only to the KPI instances for specific dimensionality (for example, for specific Brokers). In this case, you create a rule filter that identifies the specific KPI dimensions to associate with a rule.
You can also edit and make changes to rule filters and delete ones you no longer need.
