System Log

Each z/OS and z/VSE node in the object workspace contains an entry for the system log (Syslog). Example:

Browsing the System Log

The system log is shown in a browse window (read-only). You can copy the contents, but you cannot modify it.

Start of instruction setTo browse the system log

  1. In the object workspace, select Syslog in the appropriate node.

  2. Invoke the context menu and choose Browse.

    Or:
    Press CTRL+B.

    Or:
    Choose the following toolbar button:

    The system log is shown in a browse window. You are automatically positioned to the most recent entries at the bottom of the window.
