Natural 4.2.6 Release Notes for Mainframes

These Release Notes describe the changes, enhancements and new features provided with Version 4.2.6 of Natural. This version contains all Zaps, INPL updates, early warnings and source changes applied to Natural Version 4.2.5 as error corrections.

For background information, or if you are upgrading from a Natural version prior to Version 4.2.5, you should also read the Natural Release Notes for Mainframes of all Natural versions that succeeded the version from which you are upgrading. These earlier Release Notes are available in the archive of the current Natural Documentation DVD.

On the occasion of the release of Natural for DB2 Version 4.3.1, the following documents have been changed: These Release Notes: In the section Operating/Teleprocessing Systems Required, the supported versions of IMS TM have been updated. In the section Compatibility, a subsection related to Compatibility of Natural for DB2 Versions 4.2.6 and 4.3.1 has been added. In the sections Natural and Other Software AG Products and Overview of New Natural Add-On Product Versions, the product version 4.3.1 of Natural for DB2 has been added. In the section End of Maintenance of Add-On Product Versions, information related to Natural for DB2 Version 4.3.1 has been added. In the section System Commands, Editors and Utilities, a subsection describing an enhancement to the system command `LISTSQL` has been added. In the section Add-On Products, information concerning the following add-on products has been added: Natural for DB2: see Natural for DB2 Version 4.3.1 (features and enhancements of the new version). Natural SQL Gateway: see SYSDDM and ConnecX SQL Engine 11.0 and above. Natural Remote Procedure Call: see Stub Subprograms from IDL File. In the System Commands documentation, the descriptions of the following commands have been revised and updated: `LISTSQL`, `LISTSQB`, `LISTDBRM`, `SQLERR`, and `SQLDIAG`. In the Operations documentation, the following section has been added: Files and System Files Used by Natural in BS2000/OSD Batch Mode It replaces the obsolete section Natural Datasets Used under a BS2000/OSD Batch Mode Session. In the Natural Remote Procedure Call documentation, the following section has been added: Handling of Limits Set with Profile Parameters LT, MAXCL, MADIO, and MT on Server
