Configuring CXGSERV

Before you attempt to use or administer ConnecX SQL Gateway, be sure to configure the ConnecX Multiclient Subsystem (CXGSERV) component.

This document describes how to configure CXGSERV. Language environment runtime options and configuration parameters for CXGSERV are provided in the CXGSERV installation library.


Language Environment Runtime Options (LEOPTS)

The following default and reporting IBM language environment (LE) configuration options are recommended for CXGSERV. They are stored in the LEOPTS file in the hlqdsn.CXGSERV.CNTL installation data set.

Note:
These parameter settings should only be altered at the request of Software AG.

Configuration Parameters (NSERVP)

The following configuration parameters are recommended for ConnecX SQL Gateway. They are stored in the NSERVP file in the hlqdsn.CXGSERV.CNTL installation data set.

TRACE_LEVEL 0 The default setting (0) should only be changed at the request of Software AG.
TCPIP PORT_NUMBER none The port number of the CXGSERV. A value from 1 through 65535 should be specified.
Administration HTPMON_PORT none Setting this parameter is optional.

The port number of the HTTP monitor server. If the HTTP monitor is not required, do not specify this parameter.

HTPMON_ADMIN_PSW none Setting this parameter is optional.

The administrator password of the HTTP monitor server. If the HTTP monitor is not required, do not specify this parameter.
