Changing the Record Relationship for a Network Recursive Object
For network recursive objects, you can choose to either copy a record to another object, or remove it from the original object and add it to another object.
Use the following procedure to modify record relationships for network recursive conceptual objects defined to display in tree view.
* To establish a new record relationship for network recursive objects
1. On the Menu toolbar, select Manage > Manage Data.
2. Display the records associated with the object, doing one of the following:
*Click Display Values to display all the records associated with the object.
*Optionally, enter the filter criteria and click Apply Filter.
Note: Click Save Filter to save this filter for future use.
3. Navigate to the record you want to edit in the left panel and select it.
4. Drag the record to the new location within the hierarchy.
5. In the confirmation dialog box, click OK.
6. In the dialog box confirming the type of action required, use one of the following options:
*Click OK to remove the record from the original object and move it to the new object location. You, therefore, modify the selected record by establishing a new relationship.
*Click Cancel to copy the record to the new object location and establish an additional relationship. The existing record is not updated and the previous relationship is retained.
