About Setting Up the Windows Phone 8 Platform

Before you can use Mobile Designer to build applications for the Windows Phone 8 platform, you need to set up your environment. The following table lists the tasks you need to perform to set up the environment.

Update the Mobile Designer sdk.properties file to provide information about the installed Windows Phone 8 platform.

A virtual emulator is installed with the Windows Phone SDK 8.
