About Setting Up the Android Platform
Before you can use Mobile Designer to build applications for the Android platform, you need to set up your environment. The following table lists required and optional tasks to set up the environment.

Install the Android Studio IDE along with the Android SDK.

Update the Mobile Designer sdk.properties file to provide information about the installed Android SDK.
Emulators
Optional
Define Android emulators if you want to test Android applications on emulated devices.
Optional
Specify a proxy server to use if the Android emulator must access the Internet through a proxy server.
