Data Element Administered Item Sub-Type
Sub-type specific attributes and unique child entities and attributes shown below. The following table lists the attributes for the administered item sub-type, data elements.

Required. Select from reference pop-up.
Value Domain
Required. Select from reference pop-up.
Representation Class
Select from reference pop-up.
Data Element Precision
Number. Can have decimal digits.
Derived Data Element?
Indicator. Currently, used in validation and certification process. If set, needs to have at least one Derived Data Element component.
Derivation Rule
Pop-up. Required is Derived Data Element indicator is set.
Concatenation Character
Character field. Maximum length -20
XML Tag
Free-form text.

Note:  
An optional hook can be assigned to the Administered Items entity so that when a new data element is inserted, the Hook checks that the value domain and data element concept belong to the same conceptual domain. For more information, see Additional Utilities. This hook is automatically invoked if a data element is edited.
