Creating a Link to an Object from the Home Page
You can create a link to an object in any of the custom portlets. To create a link, first create a custom portlet as described in
Managing Custom Portlets. Next, complete the following steps to create the link.
To create a link to an object on the Home page
1. On the Menu toolbar, click Administer > System > System Customizations > Home Page Maintenance.
2. Click the Edit icon of the portlet in which you want to create the link.
3. Under Contents, select Links and enter the URL for the object name. In this case, the URL is odtp://object_name.
4. Enter a title in the Name field and click Save.
The object is now accessible from the custom portlet in the Home page.
Note: | The object name is not case-sensitive when it is specified in the odtp:// URL. |
