Task Runtimes and Relationship with Software AG Designer
Business analysts and developers create business process models and task types in Software AG Designer. When these process models and task types are ready for deployment, they are published to their respective run-time environments, establishing a publisher/consumer relationship between Software AG Designer and the runtime environments.
Task Engine uses the published task types to create individual task instances as business operations require. Each time you republish or redeploy a task type, the existing task type is overwritten with the modified contents of the republished task type. The properties of the republished task type are also propagated to all running tasks started from that task type. For more information about this behavior, see About Optimized Task Type Publishing.
