Viewing the Rule List
The Rule List page displays a listing of all the rules defined for your system.

To display the rule list
1. Navigate the following path in My webMethods:
Navigate > Applications > Administration > Analytics > Rules > Rule List
Optimize displays the Rule List page with the names of all rules defined for your system. This page contains the following buttons that enable you to work with rules:
Create Rule - Activates the
Create Rule page which enables you to create a new rule. For more information on creating rules, see
Creating a Rule.
Delete - Deletes the selected rule or rules from the system.
Enable - Enables the selected rule or rules on the system.
Disable - Disables the selected rule or rules on the system.
The following table describes the information that is displayed on the Rule List page.

Rule Name | Name specified for the rule. Click the name to display the Edit Rule page for this rule. |
Type | |
Sticky | Yes = rule is “sticky” (stays in violation until it is manually resolved). No = rule is not sticky. |
Severity | |
Status | Current state of the rule: Rule Violation (plus Customer Name, if specified) Rule - No Violation (plus Customer Name, if specified) SLA Rule - No Violation (plus Customer Name, if specified) SLA Rule Violation (plus Customer Name, if specified) Rule Disabled SLA Rule Disabled |
Enabled | Whether the rule definition is enabled: Enabled (click to disable this rule) Disabled (click to enable this rule) |
Actions | Click to perform one of the following actions: Copy Rule. Makes a copy of the rule to save you time in creating a new rule. Edit Rule. Activates the rule on the Edit Rule page. |
2. Refine the rule list by searching for a keyword in the rule name, or click the Advanced tab in the Search panel to take advantage of more search criteria.
To narrow the results list by action, user alert, service-level agreement (SLA), expression, customer, rule type, or status, select one or more of the options in the Filter area of the Advanced tab in the Search panel.
The following table describes the options in the Filter area of the Advanced tab in the Search panel.

Rule Type | Equals | Event, KPI, or Threshold |
Status | Equals | In Compliance or Out of Compliance |
Note that you can also specify the search condition as either OR or AND.
