The SNMP data collector works with the webMethods Infrastructure Data Collector to monitor non-webMethods devices using the Monitoring API. The Monitoring API passes operational data and monitoring model data to the Analytic Engine. The Monitoring API is designed as a programmatic interface to the systems monitoring functionality of a business integration platform. It communicates over JMS, utilizing a JMS queue, to provide secure and reliable communications between Optimize and Infrastructure Data Collector.
