Introduction to Administering Optimize
Administering webMethods Optimize explains how to use webMethods Optimize to monitor resource availability and events, establish thresholds, and respond to alerts. Part I contains information of interest to all users, and Part II contains information primarily of interest to business users.
The information can be used by administrators who configure Optimize to work with the company’s systems and business processes, and by developers who develop custom interfaces for Optimize. Part I contains information primarily of interest to system administrators, Part II contains information of interest to developers, and Part III contains information of interest to database administrators.
Note that the information covers both Optimize for Process and Optimize for Infrastructure. Information that is specific to each version of the product is called out within the topics as appropriate.
To use this information effectively, administrators and developers should be experienced in using advanced software applications for system administration and should have a basic understanding of XML.
