Creating External Links by Drag and Drop

With drag and drop, you can create an external link between a registry object and a folder or file that is displayed in the Repository Explorer View or in the Documents View.

To create an external link between a registry object and a folder or file that is displayed in the Repository Explorer view or Documents view

1. In a Views, navigate to the registry object for which you want to create the external link.

2. Drag the object to the folder or file in the Repository Explorer or Documents view that is to become the target of the external link.
