Package and Folder Requirements

Before you create a new service, you must:

Make sure the package in which you want to create the service already exists. If the package does not already exist, create it using Designer. For more information about creating a package, see Creating a Package.

Make sure the folder in which you want to create the service already exists and that you have Write ACL access to it.If the folder does not already exist, create it using Designer. For information about creating folders, see Creating New Elements. For information about ACL permissions, see Assigning and Managing Permissions for Elements.

Once the package and folder are in place, use the File > New command to start the process of creating a new service. For details, see Creating New Elements.
