Creating a Package

Guidelines for Naming Packages

When you want to create a new grouping for services and related files, create a package. When you create a package, Designer creates a new subdirectory for the package in the file system on the machine where the Integration Server is installed. To create a package

1. In Designer: File > New > Package

2. In New Integration Server Package dialog box, select the Integration Server on which you want to create the package.

3. In the Name field, type the name for the new package using any combination of letters, numbers, and the underscore character. For more information, see Guidelines for Naming Packages.

4. Click Finish. Designer refreshes the Package Navigator view and displays the new package.
