Setting Row Filters
Use the following procedure to set row filters for a user account. You can also set the row filter through the
Administer > Security > Users menu. For more information, see
Editing User Accounts.
To set a row filter
1. On the Menu toolbar, click Administer > Security > Roles.
2. Click the Edit icon corresponding to the role that you want to edit.
3. Click the Data Objects tab.
4. Click Set in the corresponding object in which you want to create a row filter.
a. Select the action that corresponds to the user’s security privileges for the object.
b. In Reference Columns, click the Select a Value icon.
a. In the text field, specify a value. Only records that contain these values are displayed to users assigned to this role.
b. Select the columns that contain the specified value.
c. Click Save Values to display the records that contain the specified value.
d. Click Set Values.
Note: To reset the values, click the Select a Value icon, and click Clear Values.
5. Click Save and then click Close.
OneData limits access to only those records specified for all users assigned to this role.
