Using Receive Services
Before you can use a receive service you must first:
1. Install the package containing the service you want to use. See Installing the Predefined Transaction Services for instructions.
2. Make sure you have installed the database scripts for the receive service, if applicable. See Database Scripts for more information.
3. Before you can use any predefined transaction services you must reconfigure the default Oracle Apps Adapter connection parameters to point to your Oracle Applications system. All predefined transaction services for Oracle Applications 12.2.7 use a connection named OracleAppsDB1227. For instructions about editing connections, see the chapter on adapter connections in webMethods Oracle Applications Adapter Installation and User’s Guide .
4. Each receive service contains settings that define how the Oracle Applications concurrent processing will run for the service. The parameters for each service are based on the Oracle Applications demo database. If you do not want to use a service’s default settings for concurrent processing, you can modify the settings in the service’s specifyConcProgParams MAP step.
To locate receive services in the Designer, see Packaging Structure.
