Insert Drop-down box in a dashboard
You can insert a Drop-down box in your Freeform dashboard.
The Drop-down box provides you with a selection of values in a drop down menu for filtering other dashboard components.
Procedure
2. Click the 
Drop-down box component icon. The selected component is inserted in the dashboard and the properties dialog is displayed. 3. Enter an optional component Name.
6. Activate the No selction option.
If this option is activated, a No selection value will be added to the value list as first entry. Initially the first entry of the value list is preselected in the Drop-down box for filtering. Selecting the No selection value has no effect on filtering other components.
7. Enter an alternative text in the Entry field.
The text will be displayed in the Drop-down box instead of the default text No selection.
A Drop-down box will be displayed with real data of the assigned data source.
