Introduction
CONNX uses configuration settings (also called environmental variables and registry settings) to optimize performance and enable additional functionality (like shared connections). All configuration settings have default values. You can modify some configuration settings during installation.
Important:
Software AG recommends using the default configuration settings for most environments. If you do change a setting, the change will take effect only when you either restart the listener or connect to the new server.
Different environments have different ways of modifying configuration settings:
Environment | Configuration modifying tool |
Windows | |
Mainframe CICS | |
Mainframe Started Task
UNIX (includes environmental variables)
