To get started using the ConnecX SQL Gateway, complete the following steps:
Be sure you have installed, configured, and verified the Adabas SQL Gateway, prior to installing the ConnecX SQL Gateway. For more information, refer to your Adabas SQL Gateway documentation.
Run the Windows-based installation program to create and transfer the installation data sets to z/OS. For more information, read Installing ConnecX SQL Gateway.
At the end of the CXGSERV installation steps, tailor and run sample job AJ01INST in the dsnhlq.CXGSERV.CNTL data set. This will create the CXGSERV libraries.
At the end of the CXGCICS installation steps, tailor and run sample job AJ01INST in the dsnhlq.CXGCICS.CNTL data set. This will create the CXGCICS libraries.
At the end of the CXGCICS installation steps, tailor and run sample job AJ02CSD in the dsnhlq.CXGCICS.CNTL data set. This will create the CICS resource definitions necessary for ConnecX SQL Gateway processing.
Configure ConnecX SQL Gateway components CXGSERV, CXGCICS, and CXGCONM.
To configure the ConnecX Multiclient Subsystem (CXGSERV), read Configuring CXGSERV.
To configure the ConnecX Attachment Facility (CXGCICS), read Configuring CXGCICS.

Note:
The definition of the PLT programs should be postponed until after
the site-specific customization has been completed and verified.
Use the UQAD administration transaction to manage your ConnecX SQL Gateway installation. It can be used to start and stop ConnecX SQL Gateway processing. For more information, read The UQAD Administration Transaction.
