ADASM* Adabas SMF Processing Messages

Overview of Messages

ADASM1 SMF=YES not allowed with MODE=SINGLE
Explanation

The specified ADARUN parameters are incompatible and cannot be specified at the same time in a nucleus startup job. The nucleus fails to initialize.

Action

Correct the ADARUN parameters and restart the nucleus.


ADASM2 ADASMF unable to obtain storage
Explanation

Sufficient virtual storage for Adabas SMF is not available. The nucleus fails to initialize.

Action

Either increase the size of the nucleus region or disable SMF recording by setting the ADARUN SMF parameter to NO.


ADASM3 SMF89 Registration return code rc
Explanation

The IBM z/OS service IFAUSAGE produced a non-zero return code when registering for type 89 SMF records. The nucleus initializes without registering for type 89 SMF records.

Action

The return codes are documented in the z/OS MVS System Management Facilities (SMF), IBM document SA22-7630. Contact your Software AG technical support representative if you are unable to understand the error. You may disable registration attempts by setting the ADARUN SMF89 parameter to NO.


ADASM4 Invalid syntax of value for parm
Explanation

An error was detected in the syntax of the parameter named in the message (parm). The parameter may be an ADARUN parameter or an operator command operand. The invalid value is ignored.

Action

Remove or correct the specified parameter and try again.


ADASM5 Unknown detail section dtl ignored
Explanation

An invalid Adabas SMF record detail section mnemonic was specified in an ADARUN parameter or an operator command operand. The invalid mnemonic is given in the message (dtl). The invalid value is ignored.

Action

Remove or correct the specified detail section mnemonic and try again.


ADASM6 dtl detail section disabled, maximum size exceeded
Explanation

A single instance of the Adabas SMF record detail section listed in the message (dtl) exceeded the size that could be contained in a single Adabas SMF record. The specified detail section is disabled.

Action

If the detail section is a USER-type detail section, correct your SMF user exit. Otherwise, contact your Software AG technical support representative for assistance.


ADASM7 Unknown SMF operator command
Explanation

The SMF operator command was not recognized. It is ignored.

Action

Specify a valid SMF operator command.
