Adabas Vista controls and manages database access from within a client session. If Adabas Vista Online Services (SYSAVI) is available within the same session, it can be used to monitor the client session parameters and Adabas Vista's internal pools.
To display the Session Monitoring menu
Select service 2 from the main menu.

The parameter values for the active job (in this example, the job DAEFCODE) are displayed. These values are set up at job initialization and are created from one of the following (in search order):
a job parameter entry for the specific job name and job type
a job parameter wildcard entry that corresponds to the job name and job type
a job parameter entry *DEFAULT for the specific job type

Parameter values that may be modified dynamically are highlighted and unprotected.
Modify the parameter values as necessary.
Press PF5 to save the new values.
Although modified values take effect immediately when you press PF5, they exist only for the current job session. For permanent changes, you must modify (or create) a job parameter entry for the job. Refer to the section Maintain Job Parameters.

Command statistics for the specified job (DAEFCODE in the example) are displayed.
The last known subcode for the system is the last subcode returned to a user with the Adabas Vista error response code 249 (or whatever the user has set). Subcodes are explained in the section Messages and Codes.
Press PF10 to reset the counts and subcode.
Press PF4 to refresh the screen.
