Shut Down Products
Shut down all non-Software AG applications that are running on the machine on which you are going to install. If these applications are not shut down, product files might become corrupted.
If you are installing new products into an existing Software AG product installation directory (that contains products from the same release), running products in that directory must be shut down so the installer can update key files that are locked by the operating system. If the products are running as applications, shut them down manually. If the products are running as services or daemons, the installer will automatically shut down many of them (and later restart them), but you must manually shut down the products listed below (and later restart them).
Product | Steps |
CentraSite | Shut down the Software AG Runtime service and the CentraSite Registry Repository service. |
Content Service Platform | See the instructions in the product documentation. |
Software AG Designer | Click File > Exit. |
Terracotta Server Array | Run the bin/stop-tc-server.{bat|sh} command. If you are running a mirror group, shut down the passive server and then the active server. |
