Migrate on Multi-Home Machines
If you are migrating from and to multi-home machines (that is, machines that have multiple network interfaces and IP addresses), the Broker server_config add command will disregard the migrated Broker Server settings from the old release, ignore specific IP bindings, and try to bind to the IP address 0.0.0.0. If the command fails due to a port binding error, follow the steps below.
1. Go to the 9.9_Software AG_directory/Broker/bin directory, open the awbrokermon.cfg file, and add the entries below.
server-6849.datadir=full_path_to_data_directory
server-6849.exec=Software AG_directory/Broker/bin/awbroker
server-6849.version=9.6
server-6849.port=6849
2. Go to the 9.9_Software AG_directory/Broker/data/awbrokerrelease_number/default directory, open the awbroker.cfg file, and add the entries below.
executable=9.9_Software AG_directory/Broker/bin/awbroker
version=9.6
3. Start the Broker Monitor and use the broker_status command to make sure the Broker Server is running and contains history statistics.
