Configure and Start the Update Manager
The
Update Manager caches fixes in its file system. By default, cached fixes are deleted every time you start the
Update Manager. If you want to keep fixes in the cache for a specified number of days, go to the
Software AG_directory /UpdateManager/conf directory, open the sum.cnf file in a text editor, and set the cacheRetainDays property to the number of days.
Log onto the machine that hosts the
Update Manager and the
Software AG products you want to work with as the same user that installed those products. Then start the
Update Manager wizard using one of the methods below. If you want to connect to
Empower using SSL, add the option
-useSSL to the command.
