Updating Your User Preference Settings
Use the set preferences command to update your user preference settings in CentraSite.
The syntax for the command is:
C:\SoftwareAG\CentraSite\utilities>CentraSiteCommand.cmd|sh set preferences -user <USER-ID> -password <PASSWORD> [-url <CENTRASITE-URL>] -targetUser <TARGET USER> -file <CONFIGFILE>
The input parameters are:
Parameter
Description
-url
(Optional). The fully qualified URL of the CentraSite registry/repository. Default value is http://localhost:53307.
-user
The user ID of a registered CentraSite user who has the CentraSite Administrator role. For example, Administrator.
-password
The password for the CentraSite user identified by the parameter -user.
-targetUser
The user ID of a registered CentraSite user whose preference settings you want to update.
-file
Name of the configuration file which contains the default user preference settings.
Example:
C:\SoftwareAG\CentraSite\utilities>CentraSiteCommand.cmd|sh set preferences -user Administrator -password manage -url http://localhost:53307/CentraSite/CentraSite -targetUser LDAPDomain\Claire -file c:\temp\UserProfileConfig.xml
Note:  
The command parameters are case-sensitive, so for example the parameter -url must be specified as shown and not as -URL.
The response to this command could be:
Executing the command : set preferences

Successfully executed the command : set preferences
