Viewing or Editing the Properties of a Taxonomy Using the Business UI
To examine and/or modify the properties of a taxonomy using the CentraSite Business UI, proceed as follows:
To view or modify the details stored for a taxonomy
1. In CentraSite Business UI, click Manage Taxonomies to display the list of taxonomies. If you need procedures for this step, see Viewing the Taxonomies List.
2. In the displayed list, click the link of the taxonomy whose details you want to view or modify. This shows the details of the taxonomy. Also, the action bar shows the set of actions that are available for working with the taxonomy.
The details include:
*The taxonomy's basic information (display name, a description of the taxonomy, taxonomy is browsable).
*The categories and subcategories of this taxonomy.
3. If you want to modify the taxonomy's details that are displayed in the Basic Information section, enter new values for the taxonomy's fields.
4. If you want to add categories and subcategories to the taxonomy, do the following:
a. In the action bar of the taxonomy, click Add Category. This opens a dialog in which you can enter the required information for the category.
b. Enter the appropriate information for each of the displayed data fields.
In this field...
Specify...
Name
A name for the category.
Be aware that this is the name that users will see in the taxonomy hierarchy when they view assets using the Choose Taxonomies list. The name should be meaningful (for example, Business Application Systems, not BAS).
Note:  
A category name does not need to be unique within the taxonomy. However, to reduce ambiguity, you should avoid giving multiple categories the same name.
Description
Optional. A descriptive comment for the category.
c. Click OK.
You can expand and collapse the display of the categories by choosing the triangle icon beside the category name.
5. If you want to further add sub-categories, or modify or delete categories that are displayed in the Categories section, do the following:
*Add a Category
i. Move the cursor over the category to that you want to add a subcategory.
ii. Click the Add icon.
iii. In the Add Category dialog, enter the required information for the subcategory.
iv. Click OK.
Repeat for each category that you want to add.
*Modify a Category
i. Move the cursor over the category whose details you want to modify.
ii. Click the Edit icon.
iii. In the Edit Category dialog, modify the required information.
iv. Click OK.
Repeat for each category that you want to modify.
*Delete a Category
i. Move the cursor over the category you want to delete.
ii. Click the Delete icon.
iii. In the Add Category dialog, enter the required information for the subcategory.
iv. Click OK.
v. When you are prompted to confirm the delete operation, click OK.
Repeat for each category that you want to delete.
6. Click Save.
