CentraSite Documentation : CentraSite User’s Guide : Working with Reports and Report Templates : Downloading Reports
Downloading Reports
You can download and save reports for a later use.
You might consider downloading a report if you want to:
*Work with the report data. For example, you can download your report to Excel format and then continue to work with the data in Excel format.
*Print the report in a different format. For example, you can download the report to the PDF file format and then print it.
*Save a copy of the report as another file type. For example, you can download a report to Word format and save it as another file type.
To download your report
1. In CentraSite Business UI, display the list of report templates (see Viewing the Report Templates List from Business UI for details).
2. Choose the radio button of the template you want to use for report generation.
3. Click Download As.
When you do this, CentraSite displays the supported formats in which you can download your report.
Format
Description
Comma-Separated Value (CSV) File
The Comma-Separated Value (.csv) format renders a report as a flattened representation of data from a report in a standardized, plain-text format that is easily readable and usable with many other applications, for example spread sheet applications.
PDF Document
The PDF (.pdf) format renders a report to files that can be opened in Adobe Acrobat and other third-party PDF viewers.
Word Document
The Word (.docx) format renders a report as a Word document that is compatible with Microsoft Word.
Excel Document
The Excel (.xlsx) format renders a report as an Excel document that is compatible with Microsoft Excel.
4. Select the download format.
If you have chosen a template which includes required parameters, you will be prompted to enter the required parameters in order to generate the report successfully.
5. In the Report Parameter dialog box, enter the appropriate information for each of the displayed fields.
The fields displayed depend on the report you wish to generate. For a description of the fields, see About Report Parameters.
6. Click OK to generate and download the report.
You are prompted to choose whether to save or open the file. If you choose Open, the report opens with the download format you chose. (For example, when you select Excel Document format the report opens in Excel). If you choose Save, the report is saved. For example, if you are downloading to Excel format, the report is saved as an .xlsv file.
