OpenCAF Shell is a JSF Facelets-based implementation of My webMethods Server shells that uses a Facelets page template for creating and rendering an xhtml page. OpenCAF Shell enables you to customize the look and feel of the page by using standard and custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks along with CAF portlets and JSF tags.

The page template may or may not include the framing around the page body: header, footer, leftnav, and rightnav. You can use portlets to render the body of the page, either directly in the page templates provided in Software AG Designer or by delegating to the existing My webMethods Server resource renderers. Conversely, you can have an OpenCAF application without any portlets.
