Enabling the JSF Facelets Functionality for New Projects and Views
By default, the Software AG Designer New Portlet Application, New Web Application, New Portlet View, and New Web Application View wizards create projects and views using the .view format, which is a file structure with a proprietary Software AG XML schema. To create projects and views with JSF Facelets support, you can set the UI Development preference Prefer JSF 2.x xhtml Facelet Templates for New Pages.
Important:
You can still create and work with Facelets projects and views even when this preference is disabled. The preference controls only the default behavior for the creation of new projects and views with the CAF wizards. CAF supports the Facelets standard regardless of this preference setting. You can override the preference when you create a view file by specifying a .view or .xhtml extension for the file name.
To enable JSF Facelets support for new projects and view files
1. In Designer: Window > Preferences.
2. In the preferences tree, expand the Software AG node and click UI Development.
3. Select the Prefer JSF 2.x xhtml Facelet Templates for New Pages check box and click OK.
When you create a portlet or web application, any views in the project are created as .xhtml files.
