About CAF Development Preferences
The Composite Application Framework enables you to set the following preferences for the UI Development perspective:

Prefer Declaring Managed Beans via Java Annotations
Selected by default. Select this option to declare new managed beans using Java annotations. Do not select this option to declare them in the WEB-INF/faces-config.xml file.
Prefer JSF 2.x xhtml Facelet Templates for New Pages
Not selected by default. When selected, this option creates new view pages as .xhtml files. This applies to individual view pages, and when a new portlet, portlet application project, or web application project is created. When not selected, new view pages are created as .view files. This preference can be overridden when creating a new portlet view by specifying either .view or .xhtml as the file name extension for the view file.
UI Development > Bindings View
Display All Managed Beans toolbar button
Not selected by default. The Bindings view displays only managed beans associated with the page bean currently displayed on the design canvas. Select this option to display all managed beans in the Bindings view.
