SOA Governance and API Management : Administering Integration Server : Managing JDBC Pools : Managing Functional Alias Definitions
Managing Functional Alias Definitions

Assigning Connection Pools to Functional Aliases
Testing Functional Aliases
Restarting Functional Aliases
Using Fail-Fast Mode with a Functional Alias
The Integration Server Administrator lists the functional aliases in the Functional Alias Definitions area of the JDBC Pools screen. The functional aliases are predefined for Integration Server during installation. If you chose an external RDBMS for the Integration Server database components and supplied the database connection parameters, the installer automatically created a default connection pool from the Integration Server database connection parameters you supplied. For more information about configuring Integration Server to write to the external RDBMS and create the functional aliases for particular components, see Installing Software AG Products.
You cannot add or delete functional aliases, but you can change the JDBC connection pool to which a functional alias is assigned. For more information, see Assigning Connection Pools to Functional Aliases.
Using Integration Server Administrator, you can view all of the functional aliases for Integration Server. For each functional alias, you can view the following:
*Minimum and maximum number of JDBC pool connections
*Current total number of connections created for the JDBC pool
*Number of available connections
For a description of the functional aliases installed with Integration Server, see Installing Software AG Products.
You can also use Integration Server Administrator to assign a connection pool to a functional alias. For more information, see Assigning Connection Pools to Functional Aliases.
