Viewing Objects Graphically
OneData provides a graphical display for viewing object relationships. The Show Model menu allows you to graphically view entities and the relationships between them. These features are available when viewing records.

By default, the graphical model displays all entities within the object’s folder and sub-folders. Objects that are part of a hierarchy or self-referential relationship display visually in blue. Simple data objects that are not part of a hierarchy display in green.
The Show Model page provides the following menu options:
Menu Option | Description |
Zoom Out Zoom In
| Adjusts the view of model. |
Zoom Selected | Zooms in on the selected object. Select multiple objects by holding the Shift key while clicking objects or by drawing a frame around objects. |
Fit Content | Fits the entire object model within the screen width. |
Print | Prints the model. Clip area settings are: Graph prints the entire model. View prints only that portion of the model currently visible on the screen. |
Toggle Orientation | Toggles the display between horizontal and vertical orientations. The All Folders mode includes all linked parents and children irrespectively of their location. |
Create Link | Creates a foreign key constraint between objects displayed in the current view: ![*](bullet.gif) In Select a Node, select the parent or child object or select the object in the model view and then click Select Parent or Select Child. Create New Columns—Associates a new column to the foreign key. Click Submit to enter details and click Save. Use Existing Columns—Associate an existing column with the foreign key. Submit—Submits the changes. Close—Closes the Create Link view. |
You can navigate through the diagrams using the vertical and horizontal scroll bars, or by dragging the screen with the right mouse button. If you double click the object, OneData routes you to the Manage or View screen, according to the function you were using when you executed the Show Model command.
