Sorting Records
The default sort order of records can be defined in the object definition. (If no default sort order is defined, OneData displays records in order of the last update date and time.) However, you can change the sort order of records displayed in a filter, sorting on one or more columns and adjusting the sort as ascending or descending. OneData sorts records in ascending order, by default. The column headings used in the sort display a number indicating the sort order, along with an arrow indicating if the column is sorted in ascending or descending order.

OneData uses the following common data sorting conventions:
Function | Description |
Column sorts | To sort records using: ![*](bullet.gif) A single column, click on the column heading. ![*](bullet.gif) Multiple columns, click each column heading in the order in which the sort should be applied. |
Descending/ Ascending Order | In Default mode: Click the column heading to change the sort order. In Nova mode: Click the column heading and click Ascending or Descending from the menu. |
New Sort | New Sort clears the existing sort order and uses the selected column to a new sort. To start a new sort in: Default mode: Click the column heading to use in the sort and click Cancel to continue with the sort. Nova mode: Click the column to use in the sort and click New Sort. |
Clear Sort | Clear sort removes all columns from the sort order. To clear the sort order in: Default mode: Click the sorted column heading a total of three times to remove the sorts. Nova mode: Click the sorted column heading and Click Clear Sort. |
