You can choose to run your webMethods product instance in containers for rapid deployment, patching, or scalability.

If you configure the same runtime alias for each container of the product instance, the reported product usage is displayed as a single record in the Metering Server UI. If you configure a different runtime alias for each container of the same product instance, the Metering Server UI displays the reported usage for each alias on a separate row.

For consistency reasons, Software AG recommends using the same runtime alias for all containers of a product instance.
