Complete the MashZone NextGen Upgrade
Before you start MashZone NextGen, do the following if necessary:
*If you changed the MashZone NextGen startup files in the old installation and you want to re-use them in the new installation, go to the old_Software AG_directory/MashZoneNG/apache-tomcat/bin and copy the files to the same location in the new installation. If the files specify absolute paths, update the paths to point to the correction locations in the new installation.
*The old presto.config file references custom files such as truststores, keystores, and the landingpage welcometext file. If you changed these references or the referenced files in the old installation, go to the new_Software AG_directory/MashZoneNG/apache-tomcat/webapps/mashzone/WEB-INF/classes directory, open the presto.config file, and check whether the referenced files are available in the new installation. If they are not, make them available.
*Upgrade from 10.2: Starting in MashZone NextGen 10.3, aggregation settings for measure columns in dashboards that use PPM Context are managed and stored differently than they were in 10.2. You can view the dashboards in the new MashZone NextGen, but if you want to edit a dashboard, you must first migrate it to the new release.
1. Choose to edit a dashboard. MashZone NextGen opens a prompt dialog box that asks whether to migrate the dashboard; click Yes. MashZone NextGen then opens a configuration dialog box; if a measure column was assigned multiple times, using different aggregation settings, MashZone NextGen keeps only one instance of the measure column. Click OK on the prompt dialog box, then click OK on the configuration dialog box.
2. MashZone NextGen shows the dashboard again in edit mode. Open the data assignment for each widget. Reassign existing measure columns and set the required aggregation. Re-create any duplicate measure columns that were removed; use a unique column name for each assignment and set the required aggregation.
3. As a safety precaution, save the migrated dashboard under a new name. When you are sure it is correct, you can delete the original dashboard.
In Migrate Event Infrastructure, you will run the Event Routing migration utility. After that migration is complete, start MashZone NextGen and open the Admin Console, and do the following if necessary:
*The MashZone NextGen migration utility migrated standard file resources to the new installation. Go to File resources > File resources , edit the resources entry, and set the Path field to new_Software AG_directory/MashZoneNG/mashzone/data/resources directory.
*The Event Routing migration utility migrated the Event Type Store. If you are using custom event types, go to Event Service > Event Service, click the EDA tab, click the Event Type Store button, and set the Event Type Store directory field to new_Software AG_directory/common/EventTypeStore.
