You can sort the tasks displayed in the task list by any of the available columns. By default, the results list is sorted by the Task ID column. You can specify a different default sorting column, for more information, see Customizing the Task List Management Tasks List.

Note that when sorting by the Assigned To and Accepted By columns, the column is sorted by the first user, role, or group name in the list of principals. The list of principals is sorted alphabetically and the order of the list cannot be modified.
