The Process Engine
The Process Engine controls the run-time execution of business processes. The Process Engine is a webMethods Integration Server package (WmPRT) that you install on every Integration Server that is used to run steps in a business process model designed in Software AG Designer.
In a production environment, multiple Integration Servers are typically running in a clustered environment. For more information about the behavior of the Process Engine in a clustered environment, see About the Process Engine and Clustered Operation.
