Relationship with Software AG Designer
Business analysts and developers create business process models and task types in Software AG Designer. When these process models and task types are ready for deployment, they are published to the run-time environment in My webMethods Server, establishing a publisher/consumer relationship between Software AG Designer and My webMethods Server.
My webMethods Server uses the published process models and task types to create individual instances of a process or task, as business operations require. Each time a task type is republished, the current task type in My webMethods Server is overwritten with the modified portlets of the republished task type. The properties of the republished task type are also propagated to all running tasks started from that task type. For more information about this behavior, see About Optimized Task Type Publishing.
