Filtering on Object Records
You can apply filters to columns of parent and child objects.
1. On the Menu toolbar, click Manage > Manage Data.
2. Navigate to the conceptual object you want to view and click on it.
3. Click New UI Preview.
4. Click to display filter entry boxes below column headers.
Note: The filter entry boxes appear in blue color for a few columns because they are disabled for filtering for the following reasons:
- The columns are foreign keys on which the conceptual object's hierarchy is based.
- The columns have Hide in Filter applied in the object definition.
5. For non-reference columns, follow these steps:
Note: Skip to step 6 to filter on reference columns.
a. In the filter entry box of the relevant non-reference column, enter your search string or select the relevant option specific to the data type of the column and click Apply Filter.
For a list of search operators, see Search Operators.
b. Click Apply Filter.
c. Optionally, to define more filter criteria for non-reference columns, click More Options.
d. Select the appropriate search operator from the available drop-down list.
e. Enter the search value.
f. To specify more filter criteria, click Add One More, then repeat the previous steps until you have added all the necessary filters.
g. Click Apply Filter.
6. For reference columns, follow these steps:
a. Select the appropriate search operator from the available drop-down list.
If you select Is Empty or Is not Empty, OneData disables the tables for record selection.
b. If you selected Exactly as the search operator, in the bottom table, select the required records from the list of available records.
The selected records appear in the top Selected Records table.
c. Click Apply Filter.
7. Repeat steps 5 through 6 in all the columns to which you want to apply filters.
