Inserting a Record in a Supertype Object
Use the following procedure to insert a record in a supertype object when there is no existing subtype object and no Nova value is provided for the supertype indicator column.
* To insert a record in the supertype object without a subtype
1. On the Menu toolbar, click Manage > Manage Data.
2. Navigate to the object that you want to edit and select it.
3. Click Insert > Insert or Insert > Insert Multiple.
OneData displays the supertype indicator and an option to choose which subtype object to update.
4. Select the entity that does not have an associated subtype and click Next.
OneData displays the Insert screen with columns of the super type object at the top.
5. Enter values for the new records and click Save.
OneData inserts the records in the selected supertype object.
