Generating a Comparison Report for Temporal Objects
You can compare the records in your temporal data object or temporal network recursive conceptual object using this functionality. The comparison report displays the records that were added, deleted, or modified within the specified time. It also provides information on the state of records with respect to baseline and comparison dates.
Note: Comparison reports are only available in Nova mode.
The following table describes the reporting options for temporal objects.
Report Options
Path Report
Displays the hierarchy path of records with the following statuses:
*ADDED: Records where the Effective Start Date is between the Baseline Date and Compare Date and the Effective End Date is greater than Compare Date.
*DELETED: Records where the Effective Start Date is less than the Baseline Date and the Effective End Date is between the Baseline Date and the Compare Date.
*MOVED: Records that are expired (DELETED) and moved (ADDED) to another node during the specified Baseline Date and Compare Date.
Attribute Level Report
Attribute Level Report provides information on the state of the selected record on the Baseline Date compared to its state on the Compare Date.
If any of the selected attributes have not been modified within the specified time, the record is not displayed in the comparison report.
Note: Prerequisite to obtaining an Attribute Level Report - an archive snapshot must be created for the object. For conceptual objects, the archive snapshot must be created for the root level object in the conceptual object. For more information on archive snapshots, see Implementing webMethods OneData.
