Performing a Search and Replace in Records
The search and replace feature allows you to update values in several records simultaneously, replacing a specified value in a column with a different value. This feature is only available for data types char, varchar, BLOB, and CLOB columns.
This option is also available in the advanced parent-child view for conceptual objects.
* To perform a search and replace update on records
1. On the Menu toolbar, click Manage > Manage Data.
2. Navigate to the object that you want to edit and select it.
3. Display the records associated with the object, doing one of the following:
*Click the Values tab to display all the records associated with the object.
*Enter filtering criteria to display only records that match specific values and click Next.
4. Select the records you want to update and click Edit > Search & Replace.
5. Select the search column and complete the remaining fields with the search and replace text. Select Case Sensitive to consider case when executing the search and replace. Click Save.
