Changing Sequence Numbers for Sequence Declaration
When you have an existing table and the sequence numbers between the source and metadata repositories must be synchronized, enter a value in the column property, Sequence Name and then re-synchronize the data between repositories.
* To generate the sequence number
1. Complete the steps to transfer metadata as described in Executing the Profile Transfer.
2. On the Menu toolbar, click Manage > Manage Data.
3. Navigate to the object you want to synchronize and select it.
4. Navigate to the object definition using the menu option that corresponds to the object’s display mode:
*Nova mode, click Edit > Edit Definition.
*Default mode, click the Advanced Definition tab and then click Go to Definition Object.
5. Click the Structure tab.
6. Click the Edit icon corresponding to the primary key column.
7. In the Data Type property, change the type to Numeric and click Save.
8. In the Data Type property, change the data type again to Database Sequence.
9. In the Sequence Name and Trigger Name fields, specify the same value as in the source repository.
10. Click Save.
OneData automatically detects the new seed.
